Tall variegated hedge brought back into line
Loose top growth taken off and the face cut flat for a tidy boundary hedge.
From low box borders and topiary to tall boundary hedges, trimmed to clean, even lines with every clipping cleaned up.
Low box hedges and garden borders, clipped standards and topiary, front boundary hedges and tall privacy hedges along back fences. Whether it needs a light tidy or a serious cut back, the aim is the same: a hedge that looks sharp and grows back thick and even.
Auckland's mild climate means many hedges keep growing for most of the year. For most people two to three trims a year keeps a hedge looking neat. Fast growers and formal shapes may need more regular attention.
Regular trimming is also easier on the hedge. Taking a little off often keeps it dense and leafy, while leaving it too long can mean a harder cut back and a few bare patches while it recovers. Read my guide to when to trim hedges.
If a hedge has really got away on you, I can bring the height and width back down. Some hedges handle a hard cut back better than others, so I'll talk you through what to expect before I start.
I look after gardens in St Heliers, Kohimarama, Mission Bay, Ōrākei, Remuera, Glendowie, Meadowbank and Stonefields.
